Christmas Tree Love:
As we were leaving the house this morning we were saying our normal goodbyes and "love yous" to the kitty and the vacuum (strange, we know - but she LOVES the vacuum). Today she walked up to the small Christmas tree in our living room and said "bye, bye tree" and then asked "hug?" (pronounced "ugg?") and held her arms out open wide. Jeremiah explained it would be hard to hug the tree so she stuck her nose in it and kissed one of the branches goodbye. As she walked away she said "of-ewww" (translation: love you).
Who?:
One of Orla's favorite books is Frosty the Snowman, she loves to read it over and over again. However, she has a little trouble with the pronunciation of both snowman and frosty. She can't quite get the "sno" sound and ends up with something that resembles the word "sin." Also, she runs the words "snow" and "man" together so you end up with something that sounds like "sin-men" it's almost as if she is saying "cinnamon" very quickly. It took us several days to realize cinnamon translated to snowman. Adding another level of difficulty is the fact that the word Frosty often sounds like "bosty" (like Boston the city) so as you can imagine we were scratching our heads trying to figure out who the heck is "Bosty Cinnamon" :)
